Can I come home with you?

DOG ADOPTION APPLICATION

Please complete ALL * fields in the form below - a blank field causes non-submission.

In most cases you will be required to meet with the dog you wish to adopt. However, in cases of interstate adoptions we will require photos of your home before an application will be considered. Interstate adoptions are on a case-by-case basis and determined by the dogs needs.

Please ensure your contact details are correct and free from typo's. These details are used to communicate the progress of your application, contacting you for a meet & greet and when registering the Microchip at the end of a successful trial period.

    Terms and Conditions of Adoption

Once the adoption application is received and approved, it will remain valid for up to 7 days for finalisation ( * special circumstances excluded). Please be aware that some dogs receive a high number of applications, many offering an ideal home and not everyone will receive a call back.  A Meet and Greet must be organised and occur within 5 days of contact by the pets carer. The adoption process including fees, will need to be completed within this time or application will be voided and the dog relisted for adoption. In the event a dog has not had vetwork completed at the time of adoption, we will arrange this ASAP once we receive the adoption fee. No dog will leave the care of Little Legs Dog & Cat Rescue Qld Inc until all vetwork is completed and the adoption fee paid in full. You will be given 7 days to trial the dog in your home. If during this period the adopted dog is found not suitable, you will need to contact us to arrange returning the dog for a refund. A fee of $70 will be taken from refund.

Meet & Greets with Covid-19 Restrictions

    •  Meet & Greets must be rescheduled if either parties (applicant or foster carer) show symptoms such as a cough, runny nose, fever or sore throat.
    • Those in required self-isolation are unable to attend a meet & greet.
    • Social distancing must be practiced during a Meet & Greet.
    • Good hygiene is to be upheld and you may be requested to sanitise or wash your hands prior to entering a foster carers home.
