Dog Adoption Application

In most cases you will be required to meet with the dog you wish to adopt. However, in cases of interstate adoptions we will require photos of your yard and fencing, and a reference from your vet before an application will be considered.

Please ensure your contact details are correct and free from typo's. These details are used to communicate the progress of your application, contacting you for a meet & greet and when registering the Microchip at the end of a successful trial period. 

**PLEASE NOTE**

Once the adoption application is received and approved, it will remain valid for up to 7 days for finalisation ( * special circumstances excluded). A Meet and Greet must be organised and occur within 5 days of contact by the pets carer. ​The adoption process including fees, will need to be completed within this time or application will be voided and the dog relisted for adoption. In the event a dog has not had vetwork completed at the time of adoption, we will arrange this ASAP once we receive the adoption fee. No dog will leave the care of Little Legs Dog & Cat Rescue Qld Inc until all vetwork is completed and the adoption fee paid in full. You will be given a 7 day trial with the dog in your home. If during this week the adopted dog is found not suitable, you will need to contact us to arrange returning the dog for a refund. A fee of $70 will be taken from refund. Outside of the week trial we encourage you to consider returning the adopted dog to us at any time. You will be forwarded all available vet papers and certificates after the trial period has passed.  Please ensure the change of ownership is completed ASAP for the safety of the dog, should he or she become lost. Please consider a personalised ID tag for your dogs collar, including your current contact number also. Thank you for choosing a Little Legs Dog for your new best friend!
