At Little Legs, we run a dedicated Retiree Program to care for our most vulnerable animals.
Sometimes cats and dogs come into our care with significant health conditions, advanced age, or behavioural challenges that make them unsuitable for adoption. These animals still deserve to live out their lives in comfort, safety and love.
Our Retiree Program places these special animals into permanent foster homes, where they receive the care and stability they need.
Little Legs covers all expenses for each retiree for the rest of their life, including but not limited to:
• Veterinary consultations and ongoing treatment
• Medication
• Flea and worming treatments
• Annual vaccinations
• Food and nutrition
Caring for our retirees is a long-term commitment and comes with considerable costs.
